A quick hypertext drive: I-27 connects the Texas Panhandle cities of Lubbock and Amarillo, providing Lubbock’s only connection to the rest of the Interstate system. The entire rural length is flat and doesn’t curve much; the section south of I-40 in Amarillo is a “depressed” freeway (i.e., it is below grade). Other than a few seedier sections of Amarillo, and fields as far as the eye can see, there isn’t much to look at.
