The blue building is the main office and studios of WLUC-TV, Marquette’s NBC affiliate on channel 6. Before the advent of cable, many Yoopers relied on the station they called “With Luck U C TV” for news of the outside world. WLUC is also the station that carries America’s longest-running weekly program and its only one in the Finnish language: Suomi Kutsu (Finland Calling), hosted by Carl Pellonpaa. Consisting mostly of news, Suomi Kutsu airs only locally.
